foodie fridays: two ice creams

delicious chocolate sorbet sprinkled with pomegranate seeds
Sigh.......have you ever wished for summer at random times in the fall....the beach, lemonade, sun and ice cream.  Well,as you can see I have cravings for these things all through the late fall and winter, especially ice cream (or at least anything anything chilled that contains cream and eggs ). This chocolate sorbet satisfies all my cravings- its refreshing, chocolaty, sweet, and, with pomegranate seeds sprinkled on top, perfect.
Soooo, as you might have noticed today is not Friday........ its Monday, and this post is labeled foodie Fridays...oh well...
amazingly good eggnog ice cream for thanksgiving

          Bon appetite for the week!

Since yesterday its been snowing up a storm (no puns intended), dusting the ground in a fluffy quilt of powder, that is fun for playing in, but not at all for driving in! Lately I have been planning for the Bruschetta party Im going to have (im going to post about that soon) and making charming little homemade Christmas ornaments (another future post) as well as testing out recipes (pumpkin creme brulee or eggnog ice cream?) for Thursday. Have a great thanksgiving!! xoxo, Thea

foodie fridays: fingerling potatoe, fig and and creamed cheese pizza

I always have liked my pizzas with thin, soft, Italian style crusts, but those pizzeria crusts are for a home cook to master, ( I can never get it to spin in the air, how do they do that?!)   I have resorted to stretching my crust as thin as they can go, which all ways creates lots of holes!
However hole filled or unprofessional my crusts are these toppings make up for all of its imperfections, I love how the figs caramelize, and the creamed cheese stays creamy but browns a bit on top, yum.
bon appetite!
olive oil waiting to be drizzled onto the pizza
